IRS Mistakenly Posted Thousands of Social Security Numbers on Website

IRSFox News reported that earlier this week, the IRS mistakenly posted tens of thousands of Social Security numbers on a government website. The privacy breach was discovered by the group and the website was shut down so the IRS could assess the damage. Most of the Social Security numbers belonged to donors and those who prepared tax returns to submit to the IRS.
